Meet our newest team member
After a visit by an Ecologist, it was confirmed that I have a colleague in residence here who I’d never previously been introduced to… Alfredo. A male Brown Long-Eared Bat.
Distinctive listening ears - validated as a species in the 1960’s (sounds familiar) and protected under the Countryside Act 1981 (not yet).
Often seen at sunset (my time of leaving) and happy in their own company with huge ears that are perfect for echolocation (has the edge on me here...).
The only real difference between us is that you won’t find me hanging around!
