Clock presented to the Frieth School

Alongside his recruitment career Jolyon Marshall does have a further job title that we may not have been aware .

Jolyon is the official ‘ Clock Winder Upper ‘ of a historic Village Clock that is local to him and his business .

Back in 2018 it was felt that restoration of such a timepiece was long overdue and he alongside other volunteers have begun the long journey to renew a ‘ Turret Clock ‘ that has seen more glorious days.

Pleasingly though Phase 1 has been completed ( dial & hands and exterior cabinetry ) all has been restored just leaving the ( movement re-build ) which will start when the organising committee has enough funds.

To keep the community engaged with all things relating to clocks Jolyon Marshall Limited sponsored a ‘Design a Clock Dial ‘ competition for the school to create an Assembly Hall Clock of their very own.

I’m sure all will agree the schoolchildren did - and the Watch & Jewellery industry may have some new ‘ designer ‘ faces on the block sooner than we anticipated !
